A retired collegue of mine, Pete Wroe, is now the curator of the Cheshire Police Museum at Warrington Police Station. Near to Warrington was RAF Burtonwood, the largest USAF base in Europe. The US airmen often crossed paths with the local police so much so the USAF Air Police and RAFP had an office based in Warrington Police Station. Attached is a copy of a newsletter Pete was sent by one of the Burtonwood based Ex US Air Police. On the photo taken in the 1950's outside the P Stn can be seen two RAFP. Anyone any ideas please contact Pete on peter.wroe@ntlworld.com

I am trying to locate some friends I made whilst living in Cornwall. Rob Lee and his wife Ellie and their two daughters. Rob is in the RAF, dont know what rank etc. they use to live in Fraddon Hill, I lived close to them, I do know Rob and co got transferred to the Isle of Anglesey, where we did keep in touch, however they have since been transferred again and I have lost touch. My name is Sue Hill, and have lots of catching up to do! Please help?
He wasn't a policeman, not very sure (typical woman!) think he was fairly high up though, do know they moved around a fair bit, Ellie (wife) has a fantastic singing voice, and I do know whilst they were in Anglesley she joined a band (local), not being very helpful I know sorry! Rob had a motorbike when they moved to Fraddon, was very keen with it! They were both very commited to the chaplain at St.Eval were they had the naming ceremony for their youngest daughter. Once again, thanks.

I have been asked by my friend Neil Hamley, a member of the association, although not on line, if any member knows the whereabouts, or any information on Don Thompson. He was a member of the branch during the 50s and 60s and took a commission from Flight Sergeant. Not a lot more is known, so any information would be really helpful. Replies could be sent to me at graham689@aol.com Thankyou.
I have been asked to try and make contact with an ex RAF Police Corporal by the name of
Sid Worrall. As well as being a member of the RAF Police Association, I am also a member of the Sylt Association, and it is a member of the Sylt Association who has asked me if I could help trace this Corporal.. I understand that Cpl. Sid Worral was station on Sylt (Northern Germany) about 1954 - 56.
Dorothy Stubbs ex RAF Policewoman.

Reg Bagnall is my dad, he served his National Service from 1957 to 59 in the RAF Police, I know one of the places he was stationed was Portland. I am trying to find any of his colleagues who remember him, one name I remember is Tony Duke. We are arranging a surprise 70th birthday party for him in June and would love to either have some special guests or if not some photos or messages for him.
Thanks very much - and once the party is done I will tell my dad about this website and get him to join. I promise!!
Update:
Posted a message last week seeking information about Phil Cracknell. You were good enough to put it on the RAFP web site. I received information and have now made contact with Phil. Many thanks for such and efficient service.

Seeking the whereabouts of Phil Cracknell (QPD), known to have retired form the RAF some time ago. I want to put him in touch with an old friend of his.
Any information to mick.collis@btinternet.com
Why is it that there are never any reports about RAF Wildenwrath in Germany, surely i was not the only
person to serve there, I was there from January '60--Sept '62 and would like to make contact with
Geoff Halifax. He lived
at Great Barr, Birmingham or Dave Jordan he lived at Prescott, in
Bucks I have already made contact with Peter Glover-- Plymouth,
and Ken Jeavons--Newquay they both belong to the south
west district, we were all "Doggies" based there at the same time,
if there are any other "Doggones" that were there I would be
pleased to make contact again.
regards, Brian Chitty. (L&S.E.Dist)
We are trying to contact the following Cpl's serving at RAF Aldergrove in the early sixties:
"Butch" Flesher, "Wee" Geordie Nash, and Gordon Kendrick.
"Butch"married a WRAF girl from Derby, and his civvy trade was electrician.
"Wee Geordie" came from Saughie-by-Dollar, Scotland and was last heard of working as a club steward in that area.
Gordon Kendrick worked for IND COOPE at their Burton-on -Trent brewery and later transferred to their plant at Alloa, Scotland.
Any one of the above may know the whereabouts of the others as they all appreciated a Quality pint.

Another success
I have been given a number of First Day Covers that were addressed to FS M Jordan BEM RAFP who was at that time at RAF Tengah, Singapore (1973). I believe this was probably Mick Jordan. There are also some addressed to his son, Mark Jordan and his wife, Jean. The latter addresses are at RAF Rheindahlen and are dated 1969 to 1970. I would be grateful if you could include something on your web site with a request that anyone with any information contact me on roger@graf57.fsnet.co.uk.
Many thanks

Another success
Dear Steve.
I contacted you in May this year in connection with tracing an old mate who was in the MPs and you very kindly placed an entry on your site.
I received an e-mail from a chap , Phil Popay, who served with him in Germany in the 70s. The information he had has led me to find Andy after 20 years.
I would like to say how grateful I am for your assistance, without your help I honestly believe I would never have found Andy. I wish you well for the future and again thank you so, so much.
Kindest regards
Ken Enderby
I am looking for an Andrew Tait who was a serving RAF MP from the mid 70s , he was last based in Germany when I lost touch with him. Could you point me towards any source of information which may help me find him? We grew up together in Edinburgh.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
regards
My dad (Robert Holder) was on the Island of Gan, in the Maldives 1959-1960. He would like to get in touch with Robert Johnstone Payne who served with him, in the RAF police. If you can help at all I would be very grateful if you get in touch with me.
Thank you very much.
Any Doggie Men From RAF Finningley 1961/62.
