Dear All,

I am delighted to say the RAF Ceremonial Authorities have authorised the Association to parade the Association Standard, the newly dedicated London Home Counties Standard and the NYB and SWAB Standards in Westminster Abbey, on Sunday 20 September, at the B of B Memorial Service.

Sadly however, the Abbey authorities will not allow Rev Michael MacLachlan to take any part whatsoever in the service.  This despite the RAF Chaplaincy Services interceding on our behalf.  But at least on the Saturday in St Clement Danes, Rev Michael will be taking a full part in the joint service.

Any more takers for either event need to let me know ASAP please.

Regards

John Walton

Dear All,

There are still a few vacant seats on the coach going from RAF Uxbridge to St Clement Danes for the service on Saturday 19 September 2009.  The service in the RAF Central Church, is to dedicate the slate Association plaque we have presented to the Church.  In the same service, the standard of the London Home Counties Branch will be dedicated.

The Service starts at 12.00 and when we arrive back at RAF Uxbridge, there will be a short march past with the AO RAF Police and the PM (RAF) taking the salute.

For the Battle of Britain Memorial Service at Westminster Abbey on Sunday 20 September, please let John Walton know ASAP if you wish to attend.  I am applying for individual tickets and need to know members details in the next few days.

Regards to all

John Walotn
