Whilst clearing out part of loft came across a black and white pencil sort of portrait of a rather steely eyed RAFP in combats. He looks like a rock ape with mars bars and the uniform/kit is not what I remember, but I was demobbed 10 years earlier.
The portrait is signed Michael John Hall and dated 1989.
I've had this about 5 years but as it depicts an era far removed from my service it can go........reluctant to put on evilbay, if anyone want to make an offer to my private e-mail address then feel free to do so.
I'll be at the Cenotaph on Sunday and can bring if any parading snowdrop buys it.

The RAF Police has commissioned its own bottled real ale.  The ale will be called ‘Griffin’s Ale’ and this will be run as an initiative to raise a small amount of money for the RAF Police Welfare Fund.  Griffin’s Ale will be available to buy in cases of 12 x 500ml bottles.  

 

Sourced from the Chiltern Brewery Co, this ale is described as “a classic in the true tradition of old ales, satisfyingly dark but not impenetrable, good body but not overpowering, with a long pleasing finish.”  The bottle will bear a bespoke RAF Police label, making this an ideal collector’s item, a present (to yourself), stock for the Section bar, something different for a Christmas function, or simply to enjoy a good pint!  The cost will vary depending upon total numbers ordered as shown below.

The larger our collective order, the cheaper the beer!  Once the final cost of the first order is known, a small mark-up will be applied with all proceeds going directly to the RAF Police Welfare Fund (the final cost per case will not exceed £30).

70th Anniversary Battle of Britain Wings Appeal

 

“ The Wing Pendant ”

 

This very appropriate pendant is being created with this very special anniversary in mind and, hopefully, will serve as a reminder to “ The Few”.  These beautiful crystal pendants are made with CRYSTALLIZED ™ - Swarovski Elements and 18 inch Sterling Silver Chain and Clasp and are presented in our lovely Black or Red gift box. They are available in 2 shades of Blue; Light and Dark and the crystal measures 23mm.

 

The cost per item is 16.00 GBP to include a donation of 3.00 GBP to the 2010 Wings Appeal and postage and packing within Europe.

A Commemorative Tullibardine Scotch Whiskey has been produced to celebrate the involvement by the RAF Police in OP Banner 1969-2007.  
This is a 40% proof whiskey and the label reads 'Royal Air Force Police Northern Ireland in support of OP Banner 1969-2007'.  There are approximately 60 bottles left for sale at a cost of £30.00 per bottle.  For the connoisseurs amongst you I am sure that this is a bargain and will become a collectors item to be cherished for that special occasion!
