There will be a small Parade / Service to commemorate the Falklands Conflict, at Southwick Park, Fareham, Hants, on Weds. 2nd May 2007.

The Parade will be led by the band of HM Royal Marines, followed by contingents from the Royal Navy, the Royal Military Police, the Royal Air Force Police, the Staff at Southwick Park, the RN Regulators Association, the RMP Association, and the RAF Police Association.

We, the RAFPA, have been requested to attend with White Berets, and our Standard.

Exact timings are yet to be confirmed, but as the new Station Church only holds 200 people, a "flood" of attendees could be an embarassment. If you wish to attend, please let me know before the end of March, and if we have to hold a lottery for places, then so be it. (It's unclear at the moment if this invitation extends to wives / partners, etc., and indeed, whether we're likely to be fed !!!!)

Further details will be circulated when they are available, but I would suggest that the whole Parade  /  Service, would take no more than 1.5 hrs. The "parade march" is about 400 yards (but at RM pace !!)

Regards, Dave Wardell.
