Members might like to know that the Association was represented at the dedication ceremony for the new chapel at the Defence Police College, Southwick Park. There was insufficient notice to inform members nationally so a dozen members and partners from the Hants & Dorset Branch represented RAFPA.

The Chapel is brand new and looked very impressive in a modern style. At present there is a preponderance of RMP banners, memorials and stained glass window panels but it is hoped that more RAFP and RN items will be added. There are two blank window panels so adding a RAFP/RAFPA panel is a possibility.

The service was conducted by the three principal service chaplains: The Venerable J Green QHC, Chaplain of the Fleet: The Reverend D E Wilkes OBE QHC*, Chaplain General Land Forces: and the Reverend P MIlls, Chaplain-in-Chief Royal Air Force. The College Commandant Col S F Boyd led the congregation which filled the chapel. RMP standards were in attendance. Guests uncluded officers and other ranks of all seervices, representaives of the three service police associations and of the architects and builders. Following the service, lunch was taken in the Officers' Mess which is located in Southwick House which was Eisenhower's Headquarters for D-Day and the huge war map is preserved as it was at H-hour. As usual, all guests were made very welcome.

The Association will be invited to the Remembrance Day service and parade next month. Details will be available from Dave Wardell.
