My name is Mick Davies, a Cpl with
the Counter Intelligence Section, RAF Police at RAF Brize Norton.
Having consulted with Bernard Lamb and Dave Wardell of the RAF Police
Association; Steve Davis, the unofficial RAFP Historian and numerous RAF Police personnel, I have undertaken
the task of commissioning a historical painting of the RAF Police through Mark Custerson of Blue Lamp Prints and the artist Mick Ewins.
The
original painting was presented to GP Capt Scaplehorn in May 06 and is now
housed in his successor's Office at RAF Henlow.
Copies of the painting can be found at RAF Police HQ, RAF Brize Norton and
the Defence Police School, Southwick
Park.
The painting is a limited
edition, with 999 copies available, either framed
or otherwise. Approx. 140 have been sold and although the majority of the main numbers have gone, there are still planty left.
