Following our contact of a couple of days ago I have come up with a photo of the AOC's Inspection at No 9 RAF PD, Safi, Malta.  I would estimate that it would have been about 1965ish.  Tony Barratt is in the immediate foreground. The Flight Sergeant is Tom Hughes and the Warrant Officer is WO Holmer.

I was medically discharged from the RAFP at Spitalgate in 1968 having gone deaf in one ear.

 

My Wife Rita and I retired to Australia in 1982 having run a successful business in the North East of UK and then in Torquay after we left the RAF. 

 

This is my first contact with anyone from the RAF since leaving except for Rex Smith (Ex WO) and his wife Mary who we try to visit when we return to the UK as tourists every couple of years.  Rex died about 10 years ago with a malignant skin cancer.

 

It would be good to hear from Tony and to know what he has been up to.
